Classical Guitar Live Performance with Eric Roth In-Person
About the program
Eric's program at the Rosendale Library on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 5pm, will feature guitar music from the 18th through the 21st centuries from Europe and the Americas, including from Spanish classical and romantic composers Fernando Sor and Fransisco Tarrega, Paraguay composer Agustin Barrios Mangore, a baroque lute suite of German composer, Ernst Gottlieb Baron, as well as compositions from romantic Viennese composer, Johann Kasapar Mertz from Vienna and late romantic English composer, Ernest Shand. Eric will also perform one of his own compositions.
About Eric
ric J Roth specializes in historical instruments and repertoire. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from SUNY New Paltz and has received lessons or master classes from Tariq Harb, João Luiz, Nicholas Goluses, Gohar Vardanyan, Michael Newman & Laura Oltman, David Starobin, Kenneth Meyer, David Temple, Patrick O’Brien, Bill Matthews, Bonnie Robiczek Meadow, Gregory Dinger, and Paul Sweeny. Eric performs at public and private venues throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. He serves on the board of the Mid-Hudson Classical Guitar Society and as treasurer of the Poné Ensemble for New Music.
